And then bam...
The eucalyptus literally hit me in the face on the way home from work. And I remembered. Remembered why I love here. And who I love here.
And I was asked questions about my favorite childhood memory
(alien footprints and ramen noodles).
And it was exactly what I needed.
Thank you city, thank you friends.
Aghh.
I just can’t shake it. The feeling that I’ve been here for 3 years and I should know by now how to mesh my 2 (or is it 10) different worlds.
My sister was here. Then gone. And now I miss her. And I miss the people I love and I miss the person I was - how can I find her again? I need Sunday nights with my friends (any friends) and someone to call up at 2 on a Saturday to be with me...

After the bocce ball, there was a stroll through North Beach with a very happy (though not yet tired) puppy. We ate warm carmel corn in Washington Square Park and let the warmth of the late spring night wrap itself around us. Magical.
